Infrastructure Management for Water & Sewer Networks & Enterprise Assets

InfoNet is a purpose-built Infrastructure Management System (IMS) for water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater networks ensuring informed, swift and cost-effective decision making both for day-to-day operational management and for long-term network planning. Designed for operations managers, engineers and planners in the water industry, InfoNet enables users to manage, integrate, validate, analyze, and report on their network data to provide accurate, auditable, up-to-date information and report on network infrastructure and performance, presented in easy to use formats.

Applications

  • Network rehabilitation planning
  • Operational maintenance planning
  • Data quality management
  • Survey planning
  • Survey data analysis
  • CCTV Data management
  • Hydraulic model build
  • Strategic Network Planning

InfoNet enables planners and engineers to plan, construct, rehabilitate and maintain their water and sewer networks with a risk-based approach that leads both to greater efficiency and also to compliance with legal requirements to identify and safeguard critical assets. InfoNet makes substantial enhancements to the hydraulic model build process through its seamless integration with the InfoWorks modeling suite. Automatic verification, inference and data tracking allow the quick creation of hydraulic models and maintain the full range of network information to enhance engineering decisions. Planners can apply InfoNet’s analytical toolset to a consolidated and complete network data store to make logical, prioritized and cost effective decisions about its future.

    Data Storage, Management and Analysis

InfoNet enables the integration of a wealth of different applications and data sets already in use including generic GIS, corporate databases, CMMS, field data systems, SCADA, hydraulic modeling and analysis software or other corporate applications to ensure that managers have a clear single picture of their network infrastructure. With a robust query engine, users can filter, sort, and make complex selections based on virtually any criteria related to their underground assets. InfoNet also includes the unique ability to query against field surveys (CCTV, manhole inspections, smoke testing and valve inspections) and other events related to network assets.

    Operational Planning and Management

InfoNet provides operators, consultants and contractors a central hub from which routine and reactive maintenance of a network can be managed. The specialized database allows the storage of not only all asset data, such as pipes, pumps and valves, but also survey information, network incident and repair information. Schedules and work orders can be effortlessly created and data passed simply between cooperating parties using InfoNet Snapshot files. InfoNet can also store a list of all available parts and materials and easily track what has been utilized for each assigned work task, allowing detailed analysis of maintenance processes.

    Rich Results Presentation and Reporting

The InfoNet geospatial environment lets the user create thematic maps with flexible symbology and rich detail. Its built-in report generator comes with dozens of standard reports or allows users to quickly build custom reports and graphs against any data stored in the system. In addition, management dashboards make it possible to track level of service metrics and other key operational data, allowing an at-a-glance assessment of the past, present and future state of assets.

    InfoNet Suite

Available as a complete product or an upgrade to the industry-leading InfoNet Desktop edition, the InfoNet Suite extension dramatically expands the asset management possibilities for public works, utilities and municipalities of all sizes and their consultants and contractors.

InfoNet Suite enables users to create records for any water- or non-water related assets in their networks and then effectively manage, integrate, validate, analyze, and report on those assets. These assets can include roads, signs, benches, schools, buildings, parks and recreation areas, trees, treatment plants, tanks, and pumps as well as water, wastewater and stormwater networks. Users can now gain in depth view and control of all critical assets that affect regulatory compliance, risk and business performance. The powerful modeling capabilities of the Suite also help users prolong the useful life of their physical assets and improve their performance and operational efficiency at maximum savings. Its overarching goal is all about getting more from existing assets. All the common InfoNet tools can be used with the assets, including data flags, version control, rich thematic maps and SQL analysis.

    Comprehensive Asset Hierarchy

InfoNet allows enterprises of all sizes to manage all types of assets and their hierarchical relationships — encompassing treatment plants, infrastructures, facilities, transportation and communications. Users can specify any defined relationships between different types of assets and maintenance activities within the enterprise. This allows complex hierarchical data models to be constructed, improving the user’s ability to represent network assets, maintenance activities and the relationships between them. These user relationships are automatically integrated into InfoNet’s existing task scheduling, object navigation and querying capabilities, allowing quick, user-friendly access to the data and generation of detailed reports on management of network information.

InfoNet also provides a powerful Object Browser that gives the user a clear overview of the relationships between the different asset and maintenance types and simplifies data management. It also provides support for user-defined objects and relationships hosted within Oracle and SQL Server databases.

    InfoNet Exchange

A full-featured programmer’s toolkit, InfoNet Exchange enables users to directly import and export InfoNet data in a variety of formats (e.g., Oracle, SQL, CSV, MIF/MID, Geodatabases, Shapefiles, etc.) to create their own custom solutions. Having access to this tailored functionality right out of the box also streamlines the creation of independent applications and custom interfaces that enable users to view or modify data for evaluation and comparison of various modeling scenarios. Armed with these capabilities, consultants and utilities can now adapt the input and output from their InfoNet models to meet specific project needs in a fully automated process that increases efficiencies. These abilities empower them to work more efficiently and instantly get the reliable information they need to make better design and operational decisions for optimal performance.

    InfoNet TSDB

The time series database (TSDB) extension of InfoNet Executive Suite provides users with the ability to directly analyze asset data in conjunction with both historical and real-time network performance data. This facilitates more detailed analyses of a network, enabling the review of known asset and survey data alongside time series information relating to the asset for a more complete network view. InfoNet allows users to import and analyze a wide range of assets, both those specific to the water industry as well as user defined asset types. Combining time series data with asset data empowers engineers to better understand network performance and provides valuable analysis capabilities when identifying planned maintenance programs or reacting to reported incidents. More specifically, it lets users quickly assess and understand current conditions, predict and fix problems before they occur, prioritize investments, assess return on investment for smarter decisions, and strengthen their infrastructure assets in a phased manner.

The InfoNet TSDB extension allows users to connect directly to time-series database, associate data feeds to specific assets and review the time series data graphically. These capabilities can be further enhanced when InfoNet is used in conjunction with Innovyze Infinity System. Rather than linking an asset to a local TSDB, users can also connect it to an Infinity System data stream, allowing them to seamlessly switch between InfoNet and Infinity System’s real time web-based data analytics for a complete data analysis solution.
