GeoVISION™ Borehole Video Systems from Allegheny Instruments are customizable to any application, from 1-inch piezometer tubes to 10-foot diameter mine shafts. Manual or portable electric winch systems with up to 2,000 feet (600 meters) of cable to visually inspect any type of drill hole or boring into the earth – water wells, environmental monitoring wells, geotechnical borings, caisson foundations, drilled shafts, and shallow oil & gas wells.

Stainless Steel

The Standard Stainless Steel camera is the workhorse of the GeoVISION™ line of cameras. The stainless steel cameras can be mounted on our Pan Tilt Control for use with the Deluxe winch.”

Standard Plastic

The GeoVISION™ Standard Plastic Color and Black & White cameras are a great economical choice when the conditions are right.

Pan-Tilt

The GeoVISION™ Pan-Tilt Control is designed to rotate and tilt Standard Stainless Steel and Standard Plastic cameras.

Nano

The Nano camera is 3/4 inch (2 cm) in diameter and is designed for use in boreholes to depths of up to 2000 feet (600 meters).

Dual Scan

The Dual Scan has a downview camera and a side view camera. The operator can toggle between either camera at any time, and use the joystick to rotate the view for a complete 360° scan of the borehole.

Light Duty

The Light-Duty winch was designed for portability above all else. It comes equipped to run from either 110 VAC or 12 VDC.

Heavy Duty

The Heavy-Duty winch was designed for portability and use in the most rugged environments.

Deluxe

The Deluxe winch is motor driven and holds up to 2,000 feet (600 meters) of cable.

GeoVISION winch cable is designed specifically for our borehole video systems.

7-Inch LCD Monitor

The 7-inch monitor provides a convenient way for the system operator to view the image from the camera.

Inverter

Our Samlex Pure Sine Wave Inverter converts 12 volts from batteries into stable, clean 120 VAC voltage almost identical to the power supplied through your household electrical outlets.

Compass

The GeoVISIONTM Ball Compass attachment mounts to the front of the Standard Stainless Steel, Standard Plastic and Dual-Scan Micro cameras for use in non-ferrous environments.

Nano Rotating Mirror

The GeoVISIONTM Nano Rotating Mirror gives the Nano camera the ability to scan the bore wall. Its extremely small size allows it to work in bores as small as one inch in diameter. The mirror is motor driven and rotates automatically.

Encoder Mounting Tripod

Encoder Mounting Tripod provides a way to mount an Encoder or Cable Protector over a bore hole when it is not possible to clamp them to the casing.

Tripod Encoder Bracket

Tripod Encoder Bracket mounts to a standard transit tripod with a 5/8″ – 11 stud. It provides a support for the encoder when it is not feasible to mount the encoder on the well casing.

DVR with 8GB SD Card

The Digital Video Recorder provides an excellent way to record a video and audio log for a bore. Our DVR records D1 quality NTSC video at 30 frames per second for the best possible video image.
